How do you go about getting a new streetlight installed or whom do you call if you would like to have a brighter streetlight? The Department of Public Works, Civil Design section, of the Engineering Division is responsible for design or upgrade of streetlights. The Street Maintenance and Integrated Waste Management Division is responsible for the maintenance and repair of traffic signals. Please call 626-744-4087 from 6:30 am until 4:30 p.m. Monday – Friday. After hours or on weekends, please contact the Police Department dispatcher at 626-744-4241. The Department of Transportation Traffic Engineering section located at City Hall is responsible for over 300 signalized intersections and occasionally the timing will need to be adjusted.
