Julie Gutierrez

In her position as Assistant City Manager, Ms. Gutierrez
serves as liaison between the City Manager’s Office and the departments
of public works, transportation, finance, information services
(library), health, and human services and recreation. In addition she is
responsible for tracking legislative issues and is the staff liaison to
the City Council’s Legislative Policy Committee and will provides
coordination of City Council agenda reports between the City Manager’s
Office and the City Clerk’s Office.
Ms. Gutierrez earned her Bachelor’s Degree in theatre administration at
Pomona College and her Master’s Degree in business administration at the
University of LaVerne. She was previously employed by the city of
Pasadena from 1988 to 2003 in a variety of positions that culminated in
a three-year assignment as director of public works. Prior to returning
to the city of Pasadena, she served as city manager of Azusa and
director of municipal programs for Advanced Applied Engineering Inc. in
Brea.
Ms. Gutierrez lives in Pasadena.
