For your convenience, an animal license (renewals only) may be paid the following ways:
 

• In Person    You must apply in person for an initial animal license

• By Mail

• By Credit Card

• Online

 

Please note, for an initial animal license you MUST apply in person.

In person, you may pay with cash, check, money order, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express and most ATM cards are accepted.  

For an initial animal license you MUST apply in person.  

By mail, payment must be made by check, money order or credit card. Please make your check payable to The City of Pasadena. Checks and money orders payable by banks outside of the United States are not accepted as well as two-party checks. Please do not mail cash.  

By Credit Card, payment by credit card may be made in person, by mail or over the telephone. To pay by credit card over the telephone, please call the License Section at (626) 744-4166.  Please be sure to have your credit card and license account number available when placing our call. 

You can pay your animal license (renewals only) through the internet. To pay by this method please have your credit card and animal license account number information available. Your account number is required to pay online. If you do not have your account number, please contact staff in the License Section at (626) 744-4166.

There is a $2.50 convenience charge per animal license account, paid by this method. If paying for an animal license the maximum is $100.00 for an unaltered animal and $50.00 if the animal is neutered.  If your payment exceeds the maximum amount allowed, please contact license staff at (626) 744-4166.

If there are any changes needed to your animal license account, remember to contact the License Section in writing. DO NOT PAY ON LINE

If the Rabies Vaccination Certificate for your animal will expire prior to June 30th of next year, you will need to provide a new certificate to the Pasadena License Section for your account to be updated.

If your animal has been spayed or neutered after you renewed your animal license last year, you will need to provide a Certificate of Sterility to the License Section With proof of sterility your animal license fee may be reduced.  DO NOT PAY ONLINE

If you are paying your renewal after August 31st, be aware that a penalty may have been added to your account which may not appear on this screen.

There is a $2.50 convenience fee to pay by credit or debit card, and electronic funds transfer.
