Human Resources is responsible for taking positive steps to guarantee
equal employment opportunities for employees in protected classes.
- Ensures that the City embraces Title VII of the Civil Rights
Act of 1964, the related provisions of the California Fair Employment and Housing Act, and
the Americans with Disabilities Act.
- Develops organizational initiatives that value all
individuals equally, regardless of their differences.
- Expands the knowledge of employees to understand, accept,
and value differences among co-workers.
