The mission of the Employment Services Division is to develop and maintain a highly skilled, diverse workforce, committed to serving the City of Pasadena in a productive and customer-oriented environment.  We are responsible for several functions:
  • Recruitment, Selection and Certification of highly qualified candidates for appointment consideration to fill vacant positions within the City organization.  Approximately 175 jobs per year are filled through this merit-based process.
  • Consultative Advice to Operating Departments is an on-going and frequent service.  We assist our client departments in a variety of human resources issues such as job performance evaluations, policy interpretations, personnel records, etc.
