Field Archery & Bowhunter Archery - Free
The Pasadena Roving Archers, Inc. utilizes a 28 target regulation field Archery (roving) range and a 218 target bowhunter range on Lower Arroyo Park.
Ages: 10 & up
Days/Hours: Every Sat./9:00-11:00 a.m.
Location:Lower Arroyo in Pasadena


Field Archery Tournaments
Held every Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. 3D Tournaments are held on the 3rd Sunday of the month. Bowhunter style tournaments are held once a month from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. visitors are welcome. Participants must have their own equipment. Tournament fees are $2 for members and $5 for non-members. Call (626) 447-7600 for more information.


In-Line Skating

New combined class format brings adults and kids together for inline skating.  You’ll receive instruction at your own level and age group from different instructors at the same time.  Skates and all equipment are provided at no extra charge during your lesson.  Join anytime, on-site registration.  For more information call California Skate School at (888) 880-7655/ www.skateschool.com Classes held at south parking lot-Rose Bowl.

Dog Obedience Classes - $90 (10 Weeks)
Offered by the Pasanita Obedience Club, Inc. in Brookside Park. Classes are 10 weeks long and run continuously throughout the year on Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings. Pasanita has been conducting dog obedience classes for over 50 years and they re co-sponsored by the City of Pasadena. These classes are recommended by the Pasadena Humane Society. Fly Casting Instruction – Fee

The Pasadena Casting Club is a family oriented fishing and conservation club with membership open to the public.  Its Clubhouse and Casting Pool is located in the Lower Arroyo Seco (near California and Arroyo Blvd.).  Classes in Fly Casting and Fly Tying are offered periodically throughout the year, and are open to members and the public for a fee to cover expenses.  The Clubhouse is open to members and the public every Sunday, 1:00 - 4:30 pm.   Interested parties are encouraged to visit the Clubhouse on Sundays and to ask the “Pool Captain” for information about membership, activities, and classes.   For information call Will Trefry at (626) 799-4373. 

Lawn Bowling - Free

The Pasadena Lawn Bowling Club  is over 85 years old and          welcomes new members and will give free lessons every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.  Lawn bowling offers moderate outdoor exercise and great camaraderie for all ages.  Our invitational events and social activities include other clubs in the area.  Competitive tournaments are played at the divisional, national and international level.  Biannual dues $225 and there is meters for parking for $.75/hour after 11am .  For information call (626) 578-9165 or e-mail at pasadenalawnbowlingclub@ yahoo.com . Youth Month
August is Youth Month in Pasadena. Throughout the month activities are held to engage school age youth 7 year through 17 in a variety of events. There are trips, college tours, seminars, art projects and many other activities to entertain, enrich and teach children and youth.
