Library cards are easy to get and they are FREE!  Applications are available at the Central Library, any branch library, or online (PDF).

Children ages 12 and younger will need a signature from their parent or guardian.

If your parent can't come with you, pick up an application, fill it out with their signature, and return it to the library.  You will be able to check out 3 items right away and your card will be sent to you in the mail.

Having a library card allows you to borrow books and other materials for three weeks.
