Reference Help for Teens
Our Teen librarian, Veronica Fuentes, will now be at a desk next to Teen Central on Monday-Wednesday afternoons from 3:15 to 6:00 pm to help you with reference questions or just help you to find fun things to read, or what's going on at the library, or how to use our electronic resources.

We're on Myspace now! Visit our new Myspace page at: www.myspace.com/pplteens

Live Homework Help logo We now have online tutoring help for teens available through Tutor.com. Just click on the Live Homework Help Online logo above, or on the Virtual Studyhall page, or the purple "Live Homework Help" button on the Teen Scene home page. If you are using this from a Pasadena Library, that will connect you. If you are using it from home, it will ask you for your Pasadena library card number.

You Review It!  Our new section of reviews just got going. This is your chance to express your opinions about books, movies, music and other things. If you love it hate it and want to tell others what you think, this is your chance. Click here to go to the online form to send us your reviews to post on the web site.

We have two new electronic resources for you to use:

The Learning Express Library  is an online collection of practice tests and study aides on a variety of topics such as ASVAB, Civil Service, GED, GMAT, GRE, Real Estate, SAT, TOEFL, U.S. Citizenship.

The ABC Clio Suite is to help you do research for projects and reports in the fields of history, government, social studies and so on. The seven databases (World Geography, World History Modern, American History, American Government, State Geography, World History Ancient/Medieval, United States at War) in the resource all include facts, images, primary source documents, timelines and paths for further research.

Technology Learning Centers: When not in use for training, our Technology Learning Center at the Central library now has special hours just for kids and teens. It is open all the time the library is open, but the time for kids and teens is: Monday-Thursday 3-6 pm and Sundays 1-5 pm. In addition, our new Technology Learning Center at the La Pintoresca Branch will provide students and adults with the same kind of computers for research or for fun. The hours there are Monday-Thursday 2-6 pm and Saturdays 1-5 pm.

Teen Central and the Teen Patio at the Central Library are places to hang out, do homework, read magazines or talk to your friends.
