Mayor Bogaard welcomed over 10,000 participants to the Rose Bowl for the 2008 Los Angeles County 5K Walk/Run Race for the Cure, to raise funds for the Susan G. Komen Foundation. In remarks at the opening ceremony, the Mayor affirmed the importance of the contributions of the Foundation in the fight against breast cancer.
