A New Construction and Demolition Ordinance
Chapter 8.62 of the Pasadena Municipal Code
Requires Diversion of a Minimum 50%
Construction and Demolition Debris
on Covered Projects
Covered
Projects include:
Residential
additions of 1,000 square feet or more
Tenant
improvements of 3,000 square feet or more;
New
structures of 1,000 square feet of more;
Demolition
of 1,000 square feet or more;
All
City public works and construction projects which are awarded by
competitive bid procedures established by Chapter 4.08 of the Pasadena
Municipal Code.
Basic
Requirements:
A
Waste Management Plan submitted and approved before issuance of grading
permits;
A
Performance Security Deposit of the lessor of 3% or $30,000 of project
valuation to be submitted with the Waste Management Plan;
Monthly
progress reports and a final summary of diversion, with documentation,
prior to release of performance security deposit.
