Specific Plans

South Fair Oaks Innovation Corridor

 

This Specific Plan has been prepared to facilitate the transition of this area to become a center for innovation. The Specific Plan emphasizes development which builds on the assets of the adjacent Huntington Hospital and the nearby California Institute of Technology. The Specific Plan provides for the continued use of Blair High School property for school use. If the Pasadena Unified School District determines that this property is the General Plan and Zoning will need to be amended. Transit oriented development will be encouraged around the proposed light rail station at Fillmore between Raymond and Arroyo Parkway. Up to 300 units can be developed at or near the light rail station at Fillmore. Huntington Hospital has an adopted Master Plan which is intended to serve as the basis for future development for 40 years (1987 - 2027).

Total New Housing Units = 300

Total New Non-Residential Square Footage = 1,550,000

General Commercial = 325,000

Industrial = 900,000

Institutional = 325,000
