Open Space and Conservation Element

The City of Pasadena is undertaking an effort to update the Open Space and Conservation Elements of the General Plan.

 

General Information

 

California State Law requires every city and county to have a comprehensive, long-term General Plan. Seven required chapters or elements must be part of a General Plan and optional elements are allowed. Elements can be combined or grouped in many different ways as long as the required issues are addressed. (Required elements are: Land Use, Circulation or Mobility, Housing, Open Space, Conservation, Noise, and Safety.) Pasadena’s current Open Space and Conservation Elements are undergoing revisions to meet state requirements, and to meet directives established by the City Council and community groups. This update will complement the existing Green Space, Recreation and Parks Element (Approved in 2007).

The City Council has convened a committee to oversee the creation of this Element. The committee is comprised of the following members:
