PasadenaThe following are projects, guidelines or planning items in which the Department of Planning & Development is currently accepting online comments in addition to the regular public meetings.  All projects continue to go through the regular hearing processes and attendance and comments are also encouraged to be made at the respective public meetings.

 

 

GENERAL PLAN UPDATES

 

Housing Element

Pasadena is updating the General Plan Housing Element for the years 2008-2014.

 

Open Space & Conservation Elements

The City of Pasadena is undertaking an effort to update the Open Space and Conservation Elements of the General Plan.

 

Land Use & Mobility Elements

Pasadena is updating the General Plan Land Use Element in 2009.

 

PROPOSED ORDINANCES

 

Extension of Time Limits for Approval of Planning Entitlements

Discussion of extending time limits for approved planning entitlements.

 

Second Unit Regulations

The City’s Second Unit Ordinance, regulates the construction of second units in Single Family residential zones.

 

Series IV Code Amendments

This is the fourth series under the new Zoning Code which was adopted in February of 2005 and includes policy changes as well as minor amendments, corrections, definitions and the codification of interpretations.

 

Tree Protections

The City of Pasadena is seeking public review and comment on proposals to improve the City's tree protection ordinance.

 

Single-Family Development Standards

The City of Pasadena is considering changes to the Pasadena Municipal Code related to the ‘bulk and mass’ of single-family residences.

 

Wireless Telecommunications

Changes to both Title 12 and Title 17 of the Pasadena Municipal Code as it affects equipment cabinets and wireless telecommunications facilities throughout the City.

 

OTHER PLANNING EFFORTS

 

Design Guidelines

Development of architectural design guidelines for Neighborhood Commercial and Multi-family Residential Zoning Districts.
