Computer Unit
Mission Statement
The role of the Computer Unit is to ensure that all of the Police Department's
mission critical computer and 911 communications systems operate at peak efficiency.
We are dedicated to overseeing the maintenance and operational functions of these
systems in support of the Police Department's commitment to the values of Excellence,
Innovation and Integrity.
What
We Do
-
Provide support for all computer related problems
and applications for the Police Department's 365+ users on over 300 PCs, laptops, and in car
Mobile Data Terminals (MDT's).

Maintain, administer, and troubleshoot the
Police Department's mission critical Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD 911), Records Management System (RMS),
and Mobile Data Terminals (MDTs) in Police vehicles.

Maintain, administer, and troubleshoot
the Police Department's network infrastructure, servers, and printers.

Research and
implement new equipment and
technologies to keep the Police Department on the cutting edge of Information Technology.
