Support Operations Division - Traffic Section

Welcome to the Traffic Section of the Pasadena Police Department.  I'm Lieutenant Phlunte Riddle and I am responsible managing the Traffic Section, which is made up of two Sergeants, a Corporal, twelve motorcycle officers, a community services officer, and an officer manager.

The Traffic Section is the primary unit at the police department that monitors traffic safety in the city of Pasadena.  The 12 motorcycle officers issue citations, occasional warnings, respond to accidents, and handle our traffic safety programs.  Our community services officer handles traffic collisions and tows abandoned cars off the street.

The Traffic Section is part of the Special Operations Division under the leadership of Commander Rick Law, who reports directly to the Chief of Police, Bernard K. Melekian.
