PASADENA POLICE DEPARTMENT The Pasadena Police Department Youth Accountability Board was created in an effort to help juveniles, who have committed their first criminal offense, to receive suitable intervention in the hopes of curbing future criminal behavior. The program originated in January of 1998. Our mission is to help these first time juvenile offenders reflect on their mistake and hope that they use this experience to better succeed in their future. Through this program, the juvenile will be held accountable for their criminal actions by imposing swift and appropriate consequences. It allows parent/guardian(s) to share responsibility in the minor's actions. The counseling helps the juveniles and their families find solid healthy solutions to everyday problems.
