TRAFFIC ADVISORIES AT YOUR FINGERTIPS
Before you get in your vehicle, you can learn about the scope of a
particular construction project, its geographical limits and its
probable impact on traffic – all with a simple click on an internet map.
The city of Pasadena’s online traffic advisory page features an
easy-to-use, colorful map for major construction projects. Major
construction activities may require lane closures and in some cases full
roadway closures in urban areas.
Improving traffic safely and efficiently around major construction zones
is a high priority for the city’s Transportation Department, which
provides a coordinated strategy of temporary traffic control, advisories
and operations components.
In addition, on-street signage informs motorists when to expect delays
and to consider alternate posted routes.
Motorists are encouraged to visit the web page often during times of
construction activity that may affect their commutes.
To access the traffic advisory map go to
www.cityofpasadena.net/trafficadvisory. Click on any highlighted
area for details about construction and traffic impacts.
