SIGNS OF ROBINSON PARK EXPANSION
PIn preparation for expansion of Robinson Park in Pasadena by 2.5 acres,
the former Highland Plastics Company building at 965 N. Fair Oaks Ave.
is being demolished this month.
Approved by Pasadena City Council in 2002, the Robinson Park Master Plan
includes a 9¼-acre park with a multipurpose athletic field, parking lot,
restrooms, concession buildings and energy-efficient lighting for sports
fields.
Plans also call for a synthetic turf field that will provide a
state-of-the-art playing surface while conserving water and reducing
maintenance costs.
The council will consider funding for this next phase of the master plan
during the annual review of the citywide capital improvement program in
the next few months.
Robinson Park is located at 1981 N. Fair Oaks Ave. For more information
