REGISTRY BRINGS MORE VISIBILITY
TO PASADENA ARTS AND ARTISTS
A new online registry promises to bring more visibility to Pasadena
artists, galleries and arts organizations.
Internet users around the world can access the Artists’ Registry at
www.cityofpasadena.net/arts
for information about galleries, museums, performing groups, educational
opportunities and artists who live, work, or provide services in
Pasadena.
Visitors to the site will be able to view photos of artwork, read about
programs and directly contact the individuals or organizations they are
interested in.
“We invite Pasadena-based artists, musicians, performers, writers and
teachers of the arts to join the Pasadena Artists’ Registry,” said
Rochelle Branch, manager of the city’s Cultural Affairs Division, which
launched the site. “We look forward to growing this site for the purpose
of promoting the arts,”
The Artists’ Registry is part of the Cultural Affairs Division’s online
Resource Directory, an important step taken last year to implement the
goals of Cultural Nexus, the city’s 10-year Cultural Master Plan.
The Resource Directory is intended to help distribute information
equitably among Pasadena-based artists, teaching artists and arts
educators to increase access to job, exhibition, performance and funding
opportunities and promote new collaborations.
