Throughout the MAP Campaign four main assessments have been conducted to gain a better understanding of the community's health status. Click on the links below to discover important issues and challenges affecting the community's health.

 

Visioning


The MAP Visioning process helped to shape the overall direction and focus of the campaign.  Beginning in October 2004 over 1400 residents community leaders and employees across the City provided their perspectives on what constitutes a healthy community and how we can work together to make changes.  To learn more about what community members said click the following link:

Community Health Status Assessment


The Community Health Status Assessment examined the City’s health status and quality of life.  In early 2005 a number of community assessments and other local data were gathered and compiled to gain a better understanding of health in the City.  To learn more about the health status of Pasadena click the following link:

Local Public Health System Assessment


The Local Public Health System Assessment looked at the City’s ability to meet the needs of our diverse population.  Using a tool developed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the National Association for City and County Health officials community providers and residents expressed their ideas concerning public health services and programs provided throughout the City.  To learn more about this assessment and ways the City is working to improve services click the following link:

Forces of Change Assessment


The Forces of Change Assessment was conducted to gather information about the trends events and factors impacting the future health of Pasadena.
