Project: Arroyo Parkway Street Enhancement

Anticipated Completion:
Summer 2008

Project Description:
The Arroyo Parkway Street Enhancement Arroyo Parkway Enhancement project will provide street enhancements including reconstructed medians, rubberized asphalt concrete roadway surfacing, and reconstructed curb, gutter and sidewalk between Colorado Blvd. and Glenarm St.

Benefits:

Improves traffic flow and reduces congestion
Improves lighting, sidewalks and landscaping
Improves pedestrian access and safety

Current Status:
Construction of Phase II (Glenarm St. to California Blvd.) is scheduled to begin May 2008 and be under construction through summer.

Traffic Advisory:
Through August 2008, expect delays between Glenarm St. and California Blvd.

Traffic Control & Monitoring System - Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Project Description:

Installation of Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) technology and various degrees of traffic signal upgrades along major corridors impacted by the SR 710 freeway gap.

Benefits:

Improves traffic flow and reduces congestion

Current Status:
Phase 2 construction is schedule to begin Fall 2007
