Welcome to the Department of Transportation. The City Council recognizes the need to enhance transportation services in order to achieve Pasadena's overall vision. In 2002, the City established a separate Department of Transportation in order to provide for increased policy oversight and effective program implementation.

The Department of Transportation identified the following five core values to guide program design and project development:
