What Is A Gift To Agency?
Pursuant to the Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC), which adopted regulation 18944.2, “state and local government agencies are required to disclose payments made to the agency when the payments provide a personal benefit to an official of the agency. Examples may include travel, meals, and other benefits. Under certain circumstances, these payments will not result in a gift to the official, but will be considered a gift to the agency.”
In accordance with 18944.2, subsection (C)(3)(F), “the filing officer shall post a copy of the form on the agency’s website.” In addition to the forms posted on the internet, hard copy/printed versions of the forms may be requested from the City Clerk’s Office located at City Hall.

Public Records Request
The Public Records Act Request Form can be used to make a written request for records. The more specific you are, the easier it will be to determine if such records exist in city files. Please note that the California Public Records Act (Government Code Section 6250 et. seq.) applies to writings in city files “containing information relating to the conduct of the public’s business prepared, owned, used, or retained by any state or local agency regardless of physical form or characteristics.” The City will provide those documents to you, unless they are exempt from disclosure under the Public Records Act or other legal reason prevents the documents from being disclosed to the public.
