City of Pasadena Celebrates Women's History Month 2024: Honoring Achievements and Empowering Futures

PASADENA, Calif.— This March, the vibrant City of Pasadena proudly embraces Women's History Month with a diverse array of events and initiatives aimed at celebrating the achievements, contributions, and resilience of women throughout history and within our community.

Themed "Honoring Achievements and Empowering Futures," Pasadena's Women's History Month 2024 celebration will feature a rich tapestry of events, programs, and activities that highlight the achievements of women in various fields, acknowledge their vital role in shaping history, and inspire the next generation of leaders.

The City has put together a month-long schedule of events that include:

Women’s History Storywalk

Take a walk-through time and countries celebrating women’s accomplishments around the globe.

Spotlight on Women Who Shape the City of Pasadena

The City’s Public Affairs team is set to spotlight women actively contributing to the City's success, playing pivotal roles in shaping the thriving community where we live, play, and flourish. Herstory 2024: Women at Work Overcoming Barriers and Bias

Thursday, Mar. 7, 6-8 p.m. at All Saints Church, 132 N. Euclid Ave.,

This free event will feature a thought-provoking panel discussion centered around the challenges and opportunities for women in professions historically dominated by men. Our diverse panel of local women, comprised of accomplished professionals and advocates, will share their invaluable insights, experiences, and strategies for navigating and breaking barriers in these fields.

Girls’ Fire Camp

Participants will learn the basic fundamentals of firefighting equipment with hands-on techniques, side by side Firefighters from the Pasadena Fire Department. Ages 14-18.

Behind the Blue - A Candid Conversation Celebrating Women in Law Enforcement

Celebrate the incredible women in law enforcement who work tirelessly to keep our communities safe. During this event, you’ll have the opportunity to hear inspiring stories from female law enforcement officers, learn about their experiences and gain a deeper understanding of the challenges they face in their line of work.
