PASADENA, Calif.— Pasadena Water and Power (PWP) is proud to announce the winners of the 2026 “Being Water Wise Is…” Art Contest. Held every year in partnership with Metropolitan Water District (MWD), the “Being Water Wise Is…” Art Contest is open to Pasadena students in grades K-12. Student artists submitted creative artwork with messaging that encourages the community to conserve and use water more wisely.

Isabella B., 5th Grade, is the first-place winner for her artwork, “Water is a Necessity,” and Jonpatrick (Jordan) S., 3rd Grade, is the second-place winner for his piece, “Water is Part of Nature.” Both students attend Pasadena Unified School District’s Daniel Webster Elementary School.

PWP is also proud to announce the winners of the 2026 scholarship contest. These scholarships reflect PWP’s ongoing commitment to supporting local students pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). As part of this year’s application process, students submitted a video responding to a prompt about how their passion for a STEM-related field contributes to the utility industry, public service, or sustainability initiatives, and how the scholarship will support their future career goals.
