PASADENA, Calif.—Join Pasadena Mayor Victor M. Gordo for the Mayor’s Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony Friday, Dec. 3, 5:30-6:30 p.m., at City Hall, 100 N. Garfield Ave.
Bring family and friends to this free celebration featuring local singers and dancers. The mayor will light the City’s official tree at 6 p.m., so come early for parking and a prime viewing spot at City Hall.
If you have the means, please help Pasadena Fire Department give local underserved children and teens a holiday to remember. Pasadena firefighters will be at the tree lighting event to collect your donation of new unwrapped toys, sports equipment and gift cards for the annual Spark of Love Toy Drive.
This year's tree lighting ceremony will feature live entertainment, including 10-year-old Anderson Mathis of Polytechnic School, and Elements Dance Space will perform exciting dance routines. Of course, the evening wouldn’t be complete without our favorite emcees and own dynamic duo: retired police lieutenant Rodney “Rodney D” Wallace and retired sergeant Glen Thompson.
It’s strongly recommended that everyone attending the tree lighting ceremony wear a face mask to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. The event will also air on our local KPAS-TV.
Share your tree lighting photos using hashtag #TreeLighting2021 and tagging @PasadenaGov on Twitter, and we’ll retweet as many as possible.
