Make tree recycling a part of your post-holiday tradition. The Pasadena Department of Public Works offers an easy way for you to go green with your Christmas Tree. Thanks to your help, the City last year collected more than 10,000 trees for recycling, saving valuable landfill space and generating protective mulch.
Drop off your tree from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday, Dec. 26, 2016 through Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2016 at:
• Eaton Blanche Park, 3100 E. Del Mar Blvd., parking lot on Millicent Way
• Robinson Park, 1081 N. Fair Oaks Ave., parking lot on Morton Street
From Jan. 4-15, 2017, residents can also place trees at curbside for recycling. Christmas trees will be collected on your normal service day. Remember, all ornaments, lights and stands must be removed. Flocked and fire retardant treated trees are acceptable. For more information, call Customer Service at (626) 744-7311 or online at stage.cityofpasadena.net/public-works.
Remember, there will be no trash pick-up service at all on Dec. 26, but will occur on Dec. 27. No bulky pick up will happen between Dec. 10 and Jan. 22, 2017.
