Pasadena Public Health Department Awarded Grant to Implement Violence Prevention and Intervention Program

PASADENA, Calif.—Pasadena Public Health Department (PPHD) has been awarded $2,510,394 in grant funding through the California Violence Intervention and Prevention (CalVIP) program funded by the California Board of State and Community Corrections (BSCC). The purpose of CalVIP is to improve public health and safety by supporting effective violence reduction initiatives in communities disproportionately impacted by violence, particularly group member-involved homicides, shootings and aggravated assaults. City of Pasadena Receives $1.5 Million Grant to Expand Free Public Wi-Fi Service in City Parks

PASADENA, Calif.—The City of Pasadena’s efforts to expand free public Wi-Fi service to all 33 City parks and park facilities received a $1.5 million boost from a Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) grant approved by U.S. Congress last week. Program provides up to 50 small businesses with grants of $7,500 each PASADENA, Calif.—The City of Pasadena and Pasadena Community Foundation (PCF) announce the Small Business COVID-19 Relief Grant Program to assist small businesses in Pasadena impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Pasadena Public Library Awarded $230,000 Grant to Establish Early Childhood Hub Sites

PASADENA, Calif.—The California State Library recently awarded Pasadena Public Library a regional Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) grant for $230,000 to establish seven early childhood hub sites. The sites are a part of a network called Growing Together PASadena coordinated by the Library’s Office of the Young Child.
