E-Bike Rebate Pilot Program to Launch July 1

PASADENA, Calif.—Pasadena Water and Power (PWP) is excited to announce a new e-bike rebate pilot program, which will launch July 1. The California Department of Motor Vehicles defines e-bikes as “a bicycle fully equipped with fully operable pedals and an electric motor of less than 750 watts.” The new pilot rebates will apply to new Class 1, Class 2 and Class 3 e-bikes with a limit of two per PWP residential electric service account. City of Pasadena Approves Stimulus Effort to Support Utility Customers

PASADENA, Calif.—The City of Pasadena City Council approved a plan to issue rebate checks to all Pasadena electric customers—both residents and businesses—in the coming weeks. At the April 6 City Council meeting, councilmembers approved suspension of the collection of the Utility Underground Surtax (UUG) for a period of six months, and approved a proposal to refund all electric customers an amount equal to the UUG Surtax for a two-year period from April 2018 through March 2020.
