CITY BUDGET WORKSHOP: Can Pasadena have a government that works better and costs less?

What would you do with a $1.5 billion? That’s the size of Pasadena’s annual budget — and soon, the City Council will decide how to invest those public funds across essential services like housing, fire, police, parks, libraries, streets, water, electricity, and sewer systems that shape everyday lives. As the new fiscal year approaches, this is an opportunity to better understand how the budget process works, learn where funds are currently allocated, and have a voice in those decisions.

TUESDAY, MAY 19 - 7PM - JEFFERSON AUDITORIUM - 1500 E Villa St.

At the start of the budget process, the City Council identified a set of five priorities to refocus spending.

COUNCIL PRIORITIES INCLUDE:

  • Upgrading the city's Fire Department to meet new threats
  • Fixing Pasadena streets and sidewalks and making them safer
  • Creating a year-round shelter to get people off the streets quickly
  • Achieving 100% renewable energy by 2030
  • Implementing plans for North Lake, N. Fair Oaks, Lincoln and East Colorado

Join a thoughtful conversation on how Pasadena can make an impact on what matters most to you!
