BLACK MATERNAL HEALTH EVENT- FREE DIAPERS, RESOURCE FAIR AND HEALTH WORKSHOPS THIS THURSDAY - RSVP ASAP 4/14

The San Gabriel Valley African American Infant and Maternal Mortality Community Action Team presents an exciting event coming up next week at Jackie Robinson Park in Pasadena! This is in honor of Black Maternal Health Week which is an annual, nationwide week-long event that was started by Black Mama’s Matter. The theme this year is Building for Liberation: Black Mamas, Black Families and Black Systems of Care.

Folks are welcome to join from throughout the County. Although the workshops and meeting section will be offered hybrid (virtual and in-person) it is best experienced in person. All items being offered for free, will only be accessible if attending in-person.

  • CELEBRATE with a Belly dancing workshop
  • SPEAK to a doula
  • FREE diapers (While supplies last.  First come, first served.) 
  • MAKE a personalized onesie at the arts and crafts table
  • LEARN how you can make a difference to END MATERNAL MORTALITY
  • FREE boxed meal for the first 40 people to register and attend the workshop segment in-person
  • All activities are free for community members
