First Omicron Variant COVID-19 Case in Pasadena Resident Confirmed; Everyone ages 5+ Urged to Get Vaccinated

(PASADENA, CA.) - The Pasadena Public Health Department (PPHD) has received the first laboratory-confirmed report of COVID-19 with mutations consistent with the new Omicron variant in a Pasadena resident. The Omicron variant was identified in a laboratory specimen from this resident through genomic sequence testing.
