Pasadena Mayor’s Interfaith Prayer Breakfast – Virtual Version

April 28, 2020 –Jericho Road Pasadena is proud to host the annual Pasadena Mayor’s Interfaith Prayer Breakfast. Anyone who would like to be inspired and reassured during these challenging times is welcome to attend, whether from a faith tradition or no faith background.

Mayor Terry Tornek has come to love the event, saying “Faith communities can bring out the best in people and this event celebrates that role. Bringing congregations, businesses and nonprofits together to affirm our shared values makes us a stronger community.”

“The Mayor’s Interfaith Prayer Breakfast promises to be a morning of connection, conversation and inspiration,” said Melanie Goodyear, Executive Director of Jericho Road Pasadena. “This event highlights the importance of building bridges in the community, as well as the work that Jericho Road Pasadena does to match community talents with community needs.” The community can participate in the virtual event on the Pasadena Interfaith Prayer Breakfast Facebook page, which will allow for conversation and interaction, or on or Pasadena Media’s Arroyo channel (Charter Spectrum 32 or AT&T U-Verse 99), from 8:00 a.m. – 9.00 a.m. on Thursday May 7, 2020.

The program will include prayers, messages and music from various Pasadena faith communities and nonprofits.

The mission of Jericho Road Pasadena is to bridge communities by matching the professional talents of volunteers with the needs of community-based nonprofit organizations to promote community development, strengthen social services, and enrich the lives of volunteers. The Pasadena Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast was previously hosted by local nonprofit Friends in Deed, who has now passed the baton to Jericho Road.
