Taking the Stage: African American Music and Stories that Changed America.

The National Museum of African American History and Culture takes center stage — again!
This Wednesday, June 24, at 8 p.m. Eastern / 7 p.m. Central, ABC Television Networks will rebroadcast Taking the Stage: African American Music and Stories that Changed America.
Filmed live at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in 2016 as part of the Museum’s grand opening festivities, the celebration features music, dance, and dramatic readings by a wide range of stage and screen actors, including Oprah Winfrey, Stevie Wonder, Mary J. Blige, and Tom Hanks.
When it originally aired on January 11, 2017, the two-hour showcase produced by Quincy Jones and Don Mischer was hailed as an inspiring celebration of the African American experience. We are honored that the network has decided to share this singular production with the nation once again.
Help us spread the word by encouraging your family and friends to tune in to ABC tomorrow at 8 p.m. Eastern / 7 p.m. Central.
