"This year MYEC 5.0, 5th Anniversary Theme is "Elevating His CommUNITY". The purpose of this theme is to highlight Social Justice to acknowledge that we as men of color have experienced a very intense year of 2020, especially the summer of 2020. We acknowledge that Black Lives Matter and we hope this year's conference will empower all young men of color to recognize that they each have within themselves the power to Elevate HIS CommUNITY! Given the current times MYEC 2021 recognizes this is needed now more than ever, especially during times of social unrest like we are currently experiencing. The conference is geared towards all high school young men of color and will be taking place virtually

Below is a snapshot of the 5th Annual Male Youth Empowerment Conference hosted by the Male Success Initiative-Fullerton and the Educational Partnerships Department. This year the conference is geared towards all High School age young men of color will include Virtually Pre-Recorded sessions Thursday, January 21 and LIVE: Friday, January 22, 2021 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

This is an opportunity for High School Young Men of Color to:
- Participate in workshops to empower men of color to pursue higher education
- Virtual Tour Cal State Fullerton diversity resource centers
- Meet current CSUF students, faculty, and staff
- Learn about college persistence strategies
The visit is intended to provide young males of color with insight into college life to encourage they prepare during high school for the next step, COLLEGE. CSUF will provide pre-recorded sessions on Thursday, January 21st with a live presentation Friday, January 22, 2020 from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM. This year there is no participation cap, all are welcome!
