District 6 Town Hall on Renewable Energy Technology: May 8

Vice Mayor Steve Madison invites you to a District 6 Town Hall on renewable energy technology at 6:30 p.m. (doors at 6 p.m.) on Wednesday, May 8, at San Rafael Elementary's auditorium, 1090 Nithsdale Road.

The program will feature an update on Pasadena Water and Power Department’s work by acting general manager David Reyes; a keynote address by Caltech Professor of Electrical Engineering Steven Low; and a panel discussion featuring Chris Yeh of Caltech whose research focuses on AI and electric power and works on Caltech’s sustainability plan and Will McNamara of Sandia National Laboratories who works as an energy storage policy analyst (panel will be moderated by Wes Reutimann). The panel will discuss the renewable energy technology needed to achieve the City's mandate to source 100% carbon-free electricity by 2030.

The meeting will be filmed and posted online for later viewing.
