City Council Formalizes Marijuana Ballot Measure to Go to Voters in June

With the statewide legalization of marijuana, the Council approved a set of changes to our zoning code last year that formalized the City's current ban on pot dispensaries, only allowing deliveries of medical marijuana from outside the City into Pasadena. April 9th City Council Study Session on Growth and Development

On April 9th the City Council participated in a study session on Growth and Development in Pasadena, contemplating current Zoning Codes and Density, and how they are being impacted by Affordable Housing Concessions. The Council felt that immediate action is necessary to protect the city from overly dense developments, and has asked the City Manager to go to the Planning Commission on April 25th to explore caps and other alternatives that can be implemented before the Specific Plans are complete. District 7 Meeting April 4th

Please join us for a District 7 Meeting on Wednesday, April 4th at 6:00 p.m. The meeting topics will include a discussion of the proposed sales tax increase for Pasadena, and the proposed Cannabis regulations and associated business tax, both which will be 2018 ballot initiatives for our residents. The meeting will be held at PUSD Headquarters, 351 South Hudson Avenue, 2nd Floor Board Room 236. Parking is available in the surface lot on Del Mar Boulevard and Hudson Avenue.
