Pasadena's "626 Day" is coming on Saturday, June 26, 2021!
The "626 Day" is envisioned as a way to celebrate a return to business as normal for Pasadena’s business community. Not to mention, a way to promote Pasadena as a prime Southern California destination for shopping, dining, and culture.
The City of Pasadena and the Pasadena Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) will spearhead this marketing effort to bring attention to Pasadena's unique and local merchants. "626 Day" is a day-long event on social media and will include a planned social media takeover with posts by Pasadena businesses and social media elements for residents and consumers to use on their own social feeds.
Participating businesses will be featured on a special "626 Day" webpage on the Pasadena Convention & Visitors Bureau Website. Businesses that opt-in to the 626 Day Directory must offer a discount for the day (6.26% is a fun one), specials, in-store/on-site promotions, product/food/beverage specials, signature drink, raffle or giveaways, etc. Click to view the 626 Day Business Directory.
Why Businesses Should Participate:
The Pasadena “626 Day” is an opportunity for businesses to be part of a citywide marketing campaign. As a “626 Day” participant, your business will be listed in the Pasadena “626 Day” business directory for additional visibility. Businesses that participate in the Instagram takeover using the branded graphic overlay and hashtag #pasadena626day will have their posts added to the Instagram Stories of both the City and CVB’s Instagram accounts.
To promote the activity, the City and CVB will issue a press release to regional news outlets, run marketing ads in local outlets and social media, and generate press for the event. Past shop local marketing efforts by the City and CVB have generated over 1 million impressions on social media and news outlets and have resulted in news coverage on local cable networks.
There is no cost to businesses to participate in the Pasadena “626 Day” campaign provided businesses meet the criteria found in the 626 Day Business Participation Form below.
How to Participate:
In advance of the event, businesses must complete the 626 Day Business Participation Form. To participate, businesses must be small or independently owned and located in Pasadena.
On the day of the event, businesses that post a photo with the "626 Day" graphic overlay & use the hashtag #pasadena626day will be reposted on the City and CVB's social feeds via Instagram Stories on June 26, 2021.
