Community Oversight Police Commission Special Meeting and Training
The Community Police Oversight Commission will be holding a special in-person meeting and training on Wednesday, January 25th at 6pm at the Robinson Park Recreation Center.
Training on the history of Pasadena and how it impacts the community today has been a priority of the Commission since its inception. In anticipation of Black History Month, this first training on Pasadena’s history will focus on the history of African Americans in Pasadena and how they have been impacted by migration, social and cultural changes, racial discrimination, and economic development.
The training will be conducted by Mr. Gary Moody, an active community member, former president of the NAACP Pasadena Branch, and owner of CMI Consultants.
