Juneteenth Celebration
Come out and experience the fun and excitement as we celebrate Juneteenth in the City of Pasadena at Robinson Park. Juneteenth commemorates the effective end of slavery in the United States. Two years after President Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation, news reached Texas and, upon learning they were free, former slaves immediately began celebrating with prayer, feasting, song and dance. Juneteenth is now a day to reflect and celebrate African American history and culture.
This family-friendly celebration includes free food, live entertainment, inflatable games, spoken word artists, and arts & crafts. Food for purchase also available. For more information, please call (626) 744-7300 or email parksandrec@cityofpasadena.net.
