Business License Scam Alert

Recently the City has been made aware of business license holders in Pasadena being targeted and threatened by phony websites and emails posing as the City in an attempt to steal license holders’ personal information.

Always verify the URL of websites you are visiting. If you are unsure of a website, use the Google Safe Browsing tool or similar trusted tool to verify the site.

Be sure to check the spelling of website links and email addresses. Scammers use small typos that aren't easily caught when passively read, such as the difference between Passadena and Pasadena.
