Evelyn joined the Youth Ambassador program her sophomore year at John Muir HS. Upon graduation she attended UC San Diego and majored in Human Development. After graduation Evelyn has worked on obtaining valuable real world skills under licensed therapists while in the process of applying to a graduate program to obtain her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. She has conducted research as a behavior therapist under supervision of Board Certified Behavior Analyst and worked under an Occupational Therapist specialized in Hand Therapy in the city of Pasadena. Since graduation Evelyn has taken up weightlifting and became a certified personal trainer to gain more knowledge of human movement and anatomy. Evelyn says, “The Ambassador program taught me many skills my peers in college didn’t yet know of. I had experience working with diverse group of people, taking on multiple responsibilities and financial independence. The Ambassador program also taught me the importance of giving back to your community and sharing your passion with others”.
