Pacific Clinics Head Start Program
Pacific Clinics Head Start Program provides early education and childcare for children from birth to 5 years of age, as well as prenatal and parenting support. Services are provided through a variety of locations and program models including:
• Center based options (0-5 years old)
• Family Child Care (0-4 years old)
• In-home Services (0-3 years old)
• Services to Pregnant Women
Our approach is to build relationships with parents and children while support them in reaching the goal of being school-ready. We provide developmental and sensory screenings for children, meals and nutrition counseling, social emotional and behavior support, as well as parenting support, parent education and career development. Pasadena Unified School District
High-quality child development programs by providing a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the physical, social, emotional, creative, linguistic, and cognitive development of each child through developmentally and culturally appropriate practices while responding to the needs of the child and his or her family.
The Child Development Department of the Pasadena Unified School District serves children ages 3 through 11 in 20 different school locations across the District. Our program offers Full Day Preschool, Part Day Preschool and Before and After School Care for families who may qualify for State Subsidized funding. Families who are not income eligible may also be able to obtain services. Please call the office for additional information. Children must be 3 years by by September 1st of the enrolling school year to enroll in all preschool programs.

Storytime has benefits for children and their caregivers!

Infant/Baby and Toddler Storytime
20-30 minutes of stories, songs and fun for the littlest of listeners. Toddler storytimes may include a short video. Check calendar for locations, days, and times.
Preschool Storytime
30 minutes of stories for entertainment and education for ages 3-5. Most branches have a preschool storytime! Check calendar for locations, days, and times.
Léeme Un Cuento
Spanish Storytime for families at La Pintoresca Branch Library. Check calendar for days and times.
STEAM Storytime
An exploration of the wonders of the world for ages 0-5 and their caregivers through stories, songs, fingerplays, dancing and crafts at La Pintoresca Branch Library. Check calendar for days and times.
Chocolate Storytime
African-American focused storytime for children ages 0-8. At La Pintoresca Branch. Check calendar for date and time.
Storytime and Play
Some locations offer dedicated play or art time following Storytime for our youngest learners. Check calendar for locations, days and times.
Sensory Art and Play
A program developed especially for children with autism or other sensory processing challenges, at Jefferson Branch Library. Check calendar for date and time.
Pasadena Department of Human Services and Recreation
Pasadena’s After School Adventures Program provides affordable, flexible and convenient after school child care for only $30 per week.
