Summer Day Camp Scholarship Applications are now available!

The City of Pasadena Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department is proud to offer Passport to Fun! Scholarships for summer day camp to income qualified applicants who live in Pasadena or attend a Pasadena Unified School District (PUSD) school. Scholarships cover 50% of the cost for the Arroyo Adventure Camp, and summer day camps at Robinson Park, Victory Park, and Villa-Parke. Applicants must participate in at least 4 weeks of camp to be eligible for a scholarship. A 20% deposit is due upon registration and camp fees must be paid in full by June 1, 2020. Scholarships are awarded on a first come, first served basis until such time as limited funding is exhausted.

Application Process
Applicants must complete an application and submit approved proof of residency and income. Scholarships are awarded to qualified applicants on a first come, first served basis until funding is exhausted.   Applications may be submitted in person at Robinson Park Recreation Center, Victory Park Recreation Center, Villa-Parke Community Center or Central Park Center or online at Submitting an application does not guarantee the award of a scholarship.  In addition to a short application form, applicants must submit acceptable proof of income and proof of Pasadena residency or enrollment in a PUSD public school or authorized charter school.

Proof of Low-Income
Must meet current HUD income limits for low income limits only. Submit a copy of signed 2018 or 2019 federal tax returns (1040, 1040A or 1040EZ) or a statement of benefits stating amount received and how often. These are the only acceptable documents for proof of income.  Paystubs and/or W2s are not accepted.

Proof of Residency
Utility bill, lease or proof of child’s enrollment in a Pasadena Unified School District public school or authorized charter school.

Applicants will be notified of scholarship award on or before Tuesday, March 31 depending on the date of application submission.  All notifications will be done via email or telephone.  If no response is received within three days of the initial email, the scholarship will be forfeited and will be awarded to another child.  Once a scholarship has been awarded and accepted, a parent or guardian must complete the supplemental paperwork that includes a parent agreement. Scholarship recipients must enroll in camp within five (5) business days of scholarship notification and a 20% non-refundable deposit is required at registration.  All camp fees must be paid in full by Monday, June 1.
