The applicant, Rusnak Pasadena, proposes to construct a new Porsche auto dealership on the 4.4-acre subject site. The dealership will include the following: a new 58,850 sq. ft. two-story structure to house showrooms, offices, service bays, and parking; the existing 13,585 sq. ft. Swanson and Peterson building (2914 E. Walnut St.) repurposed for auto dealership operations; a new 4,864 sq. ft. car wash structure; and a new sculpture structure for vehicle display along the Colorado Blvd. frontage Ave. Other on-site improvements include new parking areas for customer parking and vehicle display, landscaping, and lighting.


An Initial Study was prepared for the project and concluded that there will be less than significant impacts on the environment with the incorporation of mitigation measures; a Mitigated Negative Declaration has therefore been prepared.  Possible impacts on Cultural Resources, Hazardous Materials, and Tribal Cultural Resources were identified in the Initial Environmental Study.

Comments on the Initial Study and Mitigated Negative Declaration were received in writing between Wednesday, July 6, 2022 and Wednesday, July 27, 2022.   Please submit comments in writing to the attention of Beilin Yu, Principal Planner, Planning & Community Development Department, Planning Division, Current Planning Section, 175 North Garfield Avenue, Pasadena, California, 91101; or via email to If you wish to challenge the Initial Study and Mitigated Negative Declaration in court, you may be limited to raising those issues that your or someone else raised at any public hearing or in written correspondence sent to the Commission or the case planner at, or prior to, the public hearing.
