The Permit Center will be closed on Thursday, October 5th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Permit Center Hours of Operation:

Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays: 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Wednesdays: 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Alternate Fridays: 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The Building & Safety Division provides plan review and construction inspection services to enforce minimum standards to safeguard life or limb, health, property and public welfare by regulating and controlling the design, construction, quality of materials, use and occupancy, location and maintenance of all buildings and structures.

Development Activity Map

The map includes active building permits for residential new construction/additions and commercial projects. Also included are active planning projects, including Master Plans, Conditional Use Permits, Certificates of Appropriateness, etc.

Permit Center History

Appropriately, the namesake for the Permit Center Building is George Ellery Hale. Hale was a renaissance man, personifying the merging of disciplines into an integrated whole.
