Project Description
In 2009, the State Office of Historic Preservation awarded the City, through the Certified Local Government program, a grant to conduct a study Late 19th/Early 20th Century Residential Architecture from 1883 to 1904. The project involved preparation of a Multiple Property Documentation Form (MPDF), Nomination of three Historic Districts and 9 individual properties for listing in the National Register of Historic Places, and a historic resources survey of all residential buildings constructed between 1883 and 1904 in the city. The project was completed in September 2010 and the National Register nominations are under review by the State Office of Historic Preservation and the National Park Service. Watch this page for further announcements as the nominations proceed through the review process. Use our database (CHRID) to search for properties that were identified in the study.
