Glendale PD, January 2, 2018‐ PD‐1 assisted Glendale PD Detectives follow a wanted subject
who had a history of fleeing when contacted by the police. The Air Crew located the suspect’s
vehicle and followed him as he entered the City of Eagle Rock and stopped at a gas station. The
crew directed Glendale PD Detectives to the suspect’s vehicle. As the detectives attempted to
contact the suspect he entered his vehicle and attempted to flee. In his attempt to flee he
collided with two undercover detective vehicles, which disabled his vehicle. The suspect was
then taken into custody. After, a loaded Uzi machine gun was recovered from inside the
suspect’s vehicle. The suspect was arrested for outstanding warrants and weapons violations.
Pasadena PD, January 6, 2018‐ PD‐1 responded to the area of 800 N. Raymond Ave. to assist
officers who were chasing subjects who fled from a traffic stop. The Air Crew set a containment
in the area and all 5 subjects were located within the containment. A firearm was also located
and taken as evidence.
Pasadena PD, January 12, 2018‐ PD‐1 responded to the area of Lake Ave. and Villa St. regarding
a vehicle pursuit of a stolen vehicle. Once on scene, the Air Crew began to call and manage the
pursuit providing updates and directing patrol officers. In the area of Colorado Blvd. and
Rosemead Blvd. the suspect was stopped and arrested without incident for Grand Theft Auto.
Glendale PD, January 12, 2018‐ PD‐1 responded to the area of 134 Freeway and 210 Freeway
to assist Glendale PD with a vehicle pursuit. Once on scene, the Air Crew began to call and
manage the pursuit providing updates and directing patrol officers. The vehicle exited the
freeway in the City of Pasadena and was stopped in the area of Altadena Dr. and Foothill Blvd.
The suspect was arrested without incident for evading and narcotics violations.
Irwindale PD, January 14, 2018‐ PD‐1 responded to the area of 12000 Lower Azusa Rd. to assist
Irwindale PD officers with a commercial burglary. Once on scene, the Air Crew began to search
the property with the FLIR and located two suspects attempting to hide. The crew directed
patrol officers to the suspects and they were detained without incident. Both suspects were
later arrested for commercial burglary.
Pasadena PD, January 18, 2018‐ Pasadena PD Detectives requested PD‐1’s assistance with a
surveillance of a stolen vehicle that was seen parked. Once in the area, the Air Crew began to
watch the vehicle and after a short time saw two suspects enter the vehicle and drive away.
PD‐1 directed officers to the vehicle in an attempt to stop it and the vehicle fled. The Air Crew
made the decision to enter “tracking” mode and followed the vehicle while giving officers
updates of the vehicle location. At one point, the vehicle stopped under a freeway overpass
and the passenger exited the vehicle. PD‐1 advised units of this and the suspect was detained
without incident. PD‐1 followed the vehicle as it drove away and entered the 210 Freeway.
The driver exited the freeway in the City of Eagle Rock and parked the vehicle. Then suspect
then exited and walked away from the vehicle. PD‐1 directed officers to the suspect and when
they attempted to contact him he fled on foot. A short foot pursuit ensued and the suspect
was ultimately taken into custody. Both suspects were arrested for Grand Theft Auto and both
also had warrants for their arrest.
Pasadena PD, January 22, 2018‐ PD‐1 responded to the area of the 210 Freeway and 134
Freeway Interchange regarding a hit and run collision that just occurred. Officers advised that
the subjects fled on foot and were possibly in the area of Orange Grove Blvd. and Pasadena
Ave. While checking the area the Air Crew located three males walking and directed officers to
them and they were detained without incident. CHP detained an additional two subjects on the
freeway. The investigation revealed that all five males were involved in a residential burglary
that occurred earlier in the City of La Crescenta. The subjects were arrested for Possession of
Stolen Property. Charges of Grand Theft Auto and Burglary are pending.
Pasadena PD, January 30, 2018‐ PD‐1 responded to the area of Winona Ave. and the 210
Freeway regarding a subject who fled from officers on foot. The Air Crew arrived in the area
and quickly located the subject riding a bicycle on the eastbound 210 Freeway. The crew
followed the suspect as he rode into the brush off the freeway in an attempt to hide. The Air
Crew directed officers to the suspect and he was detained without incident. It was learned the
subject had a “No Bail” warrant for his arrest and was booked at the Pasadena PD Jail.
Glendale PD/ATF, February 1, 2018‐ PD‐1 was contacted by Glendale PD Detectives requesting
assistance in locating a vehicle that was wanted in connection to several local robberies of cell
phone stores. The Air Crew located the vehicle in a hotel parking lot near downtown Glendale
and positioned undercover vehicles around the hotel. A short time later, the Air Crew followed
a separate vehicle away from the hotel and officers conducted a traffic stop. Loss from cell
phone stores was located inside the vehicle. The suspects associated with the other car at the
hotel were also detained and a large amount of cash was recovered. In total 5 people were
arrested for connection to the cell phone store robberies.
Arcadia PD, February 22, 2018‐ PD‐1 responded to the area of 300 E. Lemon St. regarding a
possible residential burglary in progress. While enroute to the location, the Air Crew set a
containment around the residence. Once on scene, the Air Crew saw two males fleeing from
the rear of the residence. The Air Crew directed officers as the suspects attempted to break the
containment. Both suspects were detained without incident and arrested for Residential
Burglary.
