If this is an Emergency please call 911. If your report is not an emergency that occurred in Pasadena City limits and not on a State Freeway.  An online citizen generated police report may be right for you.

Please make sure to turn off your pop-up blocking software before filing the report.  Upon completion of this report process you will:

  • See the words: “Your online police report has been submitted” showing that your police report is complete.
  • Be given a police report case number.
  • Be able to print a copy of the police report to keep for your records.

Please Note:

  • All cases filed using the Citizens Online Police Reporting System will be reviewed.
  • Upon review, if further investigation of your case is needed, you may be contacted.

Certain incidents require a form to be filled out. You can download these forms and fill them at your convenience. All forms must be either mailed or brought in unless otherwise indicated.

Filing a false police report is a crime.

Using the Pasadena Police Department Police Online Citizen Reporting System you will be able file an online police report without waiting and print a copy of the report for free. Only fields with the red asterisk * are mandatory. If you have an email address please enter it so you can get the status of your report. Email addresses are not used for any other purpose.

You can report the following incidents:

  • Hit and Run*
  • Identity Theft
  • Lost Property
  • Price Gouging
  • Theft
  • Theft from a vehicle
  • Vandalism
  • Vandalism of a Vehicle

*For Hit and Run – This form is for use in situations in which no suspect information is present. (Examples: Your car was parked unattended and an unknown driver/vehicle hit your car and didn’t leave a note or a vehicle hit your car and then fled without stopping to exchange information or before you could get a license plate.) If you are aware of the individual or have a license plate of the suspects vehicle that caused damage to your vehicle please contact 626.744.4241 advise the dispatcher you have a non-emergency and explain the circumstances of your situation. Do not use this form if you are injured because of the accident and/or if the accident occurred within the last 15 minutes.

Financial Crimes / Identity Theft

Definition: The unauthorized use of a check, credit card, social security number and or identification when the suspect is unknown. Example: unauthorized purchases made on your credit card, someone other than yourself using your identity; internet scams and bank fraud. When the suspect is known by the victim (not just a name on the account), contact this Department by calling (626) 744-4241.

Question: What do I do if online incident reporting is not right for me?
Answer: If your incident is an emergency, call 911. If non-emergency call 626-744-4501.

Question: What if this happened in another city can I file a report using this online police citizen reporting system?
Answer: No, If a crime took place outside of the City of Pasadena Police Department please call the police department for that city.

Question: What if this happened on a state Freeway?
Answer: If this took place on a state Freeway please call the Highway Patrol Office nearest you.

Question: What is a known suspect?
Answer: A known suspect is when you or someone else knows the person or where to find the person who committed the crime or the license plate number of the vehicle the suspect(s) were in.
