DESCRIPTION
May Sun drew from the natural history of Pasadena when designing her urban hardscape, Flow. The project includes cast bronze images of leaves from the trees found throughout Pasadena, and images of native and extinct fish that once lived in the rivers and streams of the Pasadena area. These icons have been imbedded in the concrete along the Lake and Walnut sidewalks, culminating in the main lobby of the building, providing a whimsical journey into the history of the San Gabriel Valley for the observant pedestrian.
